Xi Mengyao from China in Elite Model Look 2009
Xi Mengyao (a.k.a. Barbie — is there a WORST western name for a Chinese girl?) from China was one of the finalists at the recent Elite Models’ Look World competition. She didn’t win — Julia Saner from Switzerland did — but her show card appeared on Models.com, which is a good thing. It will be interesting to see if she makes it in the international scene. Elite Models’ Look World competition is definitely NOT in the same realm as Ford Models’ Supermodel of the World in terms of generating attention and creating top models. However, I think Stefanie Seymour and Linda Evangelista started out as Elite Models’ Look finalists in the early 1980s. Model: Xi Mengyao (Elite) Source: Models.com
