The iconic womenswear designer Phillip Lim has expanded his portfolio to include swimwear and lingerie.  His debut collection was released just in time for the 2009 Summer season. True to his design aesthetic, his pieces are classic with playful feminine details.  It includes simple, understated pieces with gorgeous embroidery, beading and embellishments. There are chemises, bra and panty sets, boyshorts and bralettes in the lingerie collection, and they will be sold under the name ” 3.1 Phillip Lim Initials .” When asked why he chose that name, he responded, “Because it’s the initial thing you put on, before you put on clothes.” His Spring/Summer collection was so perfect, I can’t wait to see what he dreams up for Fall/ Winter!
